Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 21, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you use our services, create an account, or communicate with us. This includes:

  • Contact information (name, email address, phone number, firm name)
  • Account credentials and authentication data
  • Documents and files you upload to our platform
  • Communications between you and our team
  • Billing and payment information

When you submit a website inquiry, we collect the contact details and message you enter and, if provided, your organization, service interest, and referral category. We also attach available referral and campaign information to help us understand which pages and outreach lead to inquiries. When you book a consultation, we collect your booking details and use calendar and communication services to arrange the appointment. Account, file, and billing information applies when you use the related services. We also collect technical information when you use our platform, including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and usage patterns. This data helps us maintain security and improve our services.

On this website we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages. It uses cookies and records information such as the pages you visit, your browser and device type, your approximate location, and the site that referred you. We also record clicks on our phone and booking links, successful contact-form delivery, and the optional referral category you select. We do not send the name, email address, firm name, or message you enter in the contact form to Google Analytics. We keep a first-party attribution record in your browser for up to 30 days. It contains landing-page paths, referring domains, and supported campaign labels. Clearing browser storage removes this record. A short-lived first-party cookie separately identifies authorized maintenance visits and deliberate test activity. Google processes the analytics information for us. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our litigation support services

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our technology and workflows

We do not use your uploaded documents or case materials for any purpose other than providing the services you have requested. We do not sell client documents, and we do not use them to train AI models. We share them only with the service providers described in section 3, who process them for us.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or client documents with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We share information with service providers who process it for us, such as cloud hosting, communications and calendar services, AI model providers, and payment processing. They process it only to provide services to us, under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your information.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

  • Correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You can request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Portability: You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Communications: You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

To make a request or ask about retention, backups, or the information covered by an export or deletion, contact us at discovery@legal1up.com. Deletion requests remain subject to legal retention requirements.

5. Data Security

Our security commitments include:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Access controls and authentication requirements
  • Security reviews and vulnerability checks
  • Confidentiality obligations and data protection guidance for everyone on our team
  • Incident response procedures for potential security events

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Contact us to discuss the security and transfer requirements for your engagement before sending case materials.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, providing additional notice through our platform or via email.
