How Legal1Up works
From scoping to delivery for counsel's review
How we work
An Overview of Our Process
We support matters in federal, state, and local courts and administrative proceedings. We identify the court or tribunal and agree on the applicable requirements, task, deliverables, and deadline before work begins. Every assignment follows the same four steps: intake, system draft, human review, and lawyer decision. Our system handles the volume: document intake, pattern detection, and first drafts. Our team checks the work against the sources before delivery. You decide what goes forward. Your attorney reviews, certifies, and signs. We don't give legal advice.
The process
Intake, system draft, human review, lawyer decision
- 01
Intake
You bring the work in a meeting or a short write-up: the records, the question, the volume, and the deadline. We scope it on a 30-minute call, run a conflict check, and confirm the delivery date before we accept the work.
- 02
System draft
Our system does the first pass on the records you send: sorting, extracting, and drafting. AI is one part of it, alongside search, structured data, and the checks set for the assignment.
- 03
Human review
Our team checks the draft against the source documents, using the checks agreed for the assignment, and records what they checked.
- 04
Lawyer decision
You receive the work with source references and findings. Ask for revisions, or take it forward toward filing. Your attorney reviews, certifies, and signs.
